The Red Sea Reefer Mesh Filter Sock - 225 Micron is a reusable thin-mesh filter sock for Red Sea REEFER and MAX-S aquariums, built for day-to-day mechanical filtration and easy cleaning.

Thin-Mesh REEFER Filtration

This 225 micron mesh sock is ideal for new setups, after heavy maintenance or whenever the aquarium has a higher amount of suspended particulate matter. The monofilament mesh construction makes it easier to rinse clean than dense felt socks.

Application Notes

Choose the mesh 225 micron sock when easier cleaning and longer service between rinses are more important than ultra-fine polishing. It is especially useful after aquascaping, detritus removal, glass cleaning or other maintenance that leaves visible particles in the water.

Directions

Place the sock in the filter sock holder and monitor water flow through the sump. Remove and rinse the sock when debris buildup reduces flow or water begins bypassing the sock. Rotate with clean spare socks to keep mechanical filtration running consistently.
